Elliott Wu (The El)

I’ve been a game designer / developer even before I knew the term existed. I created my first game when I was about 8. It was a maze board game I drew up entirely with pencil on several sheets of notebook paper and far more rules than it deserved.

 

In addition to a game enthusiast, I also work with the startup community as a business consultant and as an operation manager for a small telecom startup. Naturally, I spend a lot of time looking at indie game startups and studying the gaming industry from the perspective of a business analyst (With an accompanying blog that talks about raising money in the startup space for game development).

 

I was trained as an IT/IS engineer at NYU, and focused mostly on project management through the years, culminating in an MBA from INSEAD with a specialization in Entrepreneurship and Finance and… you know what, that’s not all that interesting. If you cared about all of that, here’s my character sheet:
